What to expect today

WEDNESDAY: Another day where heat tells the story. The morning lows will be in the mid 70s, but by the afternoon we will top out in the upper 90s. Feels like values will reach up to 105 degrees in a lot of locations resulting in heat advisories being continued through our Wednesday. Skies will stay mostly dry with a pop up shower not being ruled out, but the potential is very unlikely.

THURSDAY: A similar pattern will carry over into our Thursday as high temperatures reach up to the mid to upper 90s. Feels like values will reach into the triple digits, but with drier air expected, this will limit how high those heat indices reach up to. This will limit our Heat Advisory coverage. While they are expected, the hope is to knock a few counties off of it. The dry pattern means there will not be a ton of meaningful moisture in the sky as we stay dry from start to finish.

WEEKEND: Rain chances remain spotty at best through the entirety of our weekend including for our football forecasts. Still, weather will be a big factor as record-breaking heat is expected for each day of our weekend. Stay hydrated and make sure to find ways to stay cool as we all try to outlast this summer surge.
